The Harvard Real Estate Symposium is the university’s annual real estate event, organized jointly by students from Harvard’s Business School and Graduate School of Design. The two-day event is attended by over 500 industry professionals, alumni, academics, and students.
Resume Reviews
Students who choose to submit resumes will receive focused feedback from HAREB members in their area of interest who are actively hiring and reviewing resumes regularly. Members will help students with feedback that will translate academic and work experiences into relevant content.

Mentoring Meetings
Mentoring Meetings are a key programming element of the Harvard Alumni Real Estate Board meetings. Board members are paired with small groups of students to act as a catalyst for conversation and to offer face-to-face mentorship. Board members will give a brief overview of their educational background and career trajectory followed by time for each mentee to engage their mentor with questions.

ARGUS Training
ARGUS Enterprise is the global standard for property valuation and the most comprehensive asset and portfolio management solution globally. It is trusted by leading investment and development firms to value property, secure capital, manage assets, and generate wealth. Combining lectures with hands-on exercises, the course will begin with the fundamentals of using ARGUS Enterprise for real estate financial modeling, emphasizing those strategies most applicable to discounted cash flow analysis. As the course progresses, students will put these skills to use in a case study format, with financial modeling exercises based on hypothetical real estate development scenarios.
Included in the two-day training, an ARGUS manual, a 30-day ARGUS license, and a discount on ARGUS certification.

A.CRE Accelerator: Real Estate Financial Modeling
The A.CRE Accelerator is an on-demand real estate financial modeling educational platform. The Accelerator offers a curated curriculum of lectures with hands-on exercises. The course will begin with the fundamentals of using Microsoft Excel for real estate financial modeling, emphasizing those formulas, shortcuts, and strategies most applicable to discounted cash flow analysis. As the course progresses, students will put these skills to use in a case study format, with financial modeling exercises based on hypothetical real estate development scenarios.

Real Estate Mentoring Program Application Collection
The Harvard Alumni Real Estate Board will facilitate a structured mentoring program between board membership and currently enrolled Harvard students. HAREB members will act as mentors and students as mentees, the program will act as a catalyst for conversation and chance for ‘face-to-face’ mentoring.
The duration of the program is six months, beginning in October 2022 and ending March 2022. The mentoring program involves frequent informal opportunities to speak with one’s mentor, with a minimum of five one-hour interactions between mentee and mentor. The board will facilitate an orientation as well as programming to signify the closure of the formal relationship.
