Ignacio Correa is responsible for the management of the architecture team at the Crystal Lagoons headquarters in Santiago. In this capacity, he assesses development opportunities and oversees the design of incoming and ongoing development projects for Crystal Lagoons all over the world.

Ignacio has over 17 years of experience in the real estate industry. Prior to joining Crystal Lagoons, he was Director of Development at McCord Development, an opportunistic real  estate development and investment firm based in Houston with activities across all asset classes, particularly at Generation Park, the largest private commercial development (4,000 acres) in the 3rd most populous county in the United States.

At McCord, Ignacio was part of the team who helped to bring TechnipFMC, one of Houston’s 26 Fortune 500 companies, to Generation Park and later directed the planning and development of Redemption Square, a lifestyle district that encompasses over $500MM / 2MM SF of office, hospitality, retail, and civic uses.

Prior to McCord, Ignacio worked as Principal at Canin & Associates, an urban planning and architectural firm in Orlando, Florida, where he designed and managed diverse projects both in the public and private space throughout the US, Europe, Africa, South America and the Caribbean. Ignacio also worked at entrepreneurial real estate firms Samuels & Associates and Taurus Investment Holdings while studying in Boston. 

Ignacio holds a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Mendoza in Argentina, a master’s degree in Urban Design from the University of Miami and a master’s degree in Real Estate from Harvard University.
