BRANDY Corcoran Carlson

Ms. Carlson has spent the majority of her 20+ year career working with or advising high growth companies in the financial services industry. She has held executive-level positions leading business development, client relations, marketing and capital markets in the banking and commercial real estate industries.

As an advisor to Seventy2 Capital Wealth Management, she has developed and launched strategic marketing and business development initiatives resulting in a $250mm increase in assets and recognition as one of the leading financial advisory firms in the Washington, DC area. Ms. Carlson and her husband also personally invest in and manage a portfolio of multifamily (affordable and workforce) and residential properties in the Baltimore – Washington, DC region.

Prior to Seventy2 Capital, Ms. Carlson built and launched the strategic planning and capital raising programs for two early stage, alternative investment companies. As Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for a national specialty finance company, Ms. Carlson strengthened the company’s investor relationships, relaunched a $20mm equity and subordinated debt offering, and expanded its origination channels. As a Managing Director at RailField Partners, a Bethesda, MD based, multifamily, real estate investment and asset management firm, she was responsible for all capital raising and investor relations activities including relationships with pension funds, family offices, endowments and high net worth investors.

Her strong understanding of commercial banking finance and operations was acquired while leading the Community and Regional Banking group and Corporate Marketing at Primatics Financial, a fast growing, SaaS Fintech company backed by The Carlyle Group. While there Ms. Carlson grew the business from $7mm in annual revenues to $27mm in under 5 years and was instrumental in developing the Evolv platform’s Loss Share reporting capabilities. She has also held positions with KPMG, BearingPoint (formerly KPMG Consulting), LexisNexis, NHP Inc., and Lazard Brothers.

She earned a Master in Public Policy from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and holds her Bachelors in International Business with a concentration in Finance from American University where she was a Presidential scholar and graduated with honors. Ms. Carlson serves as a Board Member and the 2019 and 2020 Gala Co-Chair of Generation Hope, a Washington, DC based nonprofit. She also regularly volunteers in her children’s schools.
