Jon Tarnow is a Senior Client Executive in J.P. Morgan’s Real Estate Banking (“REB”) group based in Irvine, CA. In this capacity, he works closely with top-tier real estate private equity, developers, investors, operating companies and public investment funds across the United States to understand their unique business needs and provide tailored, asset-level and fund level financial solutions.
Jon has in-depth experience with major asset classes in a variety of geographies, public pension fund direct and indirect investments in real estate and public homebuilders.
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Jon was a Senior Relationship Manager/Director at Bank of the West in their Real Estate Industries Division leading a relationship management team responsible for originating, underwriting and compliance on-boarding of lending and deposit opportunities from both new and existing relationships.
Prior to Bank of the West, Jon started his lending career at Citibank as an Analyst and then Underwriter in its Petroleum Finance group focusing on working capital lines of credit and real estate secured term loans to gas station operators, jobbers and Oil Company sponsored entities.
Jon successfully completed a recognized bank credit training program, graduated from Pepperdine University with a Masters in Finance as well as completed the Advanced Management Development Program in Real Estate from Harvard University allowing him to currently serve on Harvard’s Alumni Real Estate Board.
