Combining lectures with hands-on exercises, the course will begin with the fundamentals of using ARGUS Enterprise for real estate financial modeling, emphasizing those strategies most applicable to discounted cash flow analysis. As the course progresses, students will put these skills to use in a case study format, with financial modeling exercises based on hypothetical real estate development scenarios.

Real Estate Financial Modeling Workshop
This course, REFM combines lectures with hands-on exercises, will begin with the fundamentals of using Microsoft Excel for real estate financial modeling, with an emphasis on those formulas, shortcuts, and strategies most applicable to discounted cash flow analysis. As the course progresses, students will put these skills to use in a case study format, with financial modeling exercises based on hypothetical real estate development scenarios. Students will learn how to model unlevered and levered property-level cash flows for a mixed-use development.
