Adam Barzilay

Mr. Barzilay is a Co-founder and Principal at Arrowroot Real Estate, a national multifamily and student housing investment group. In his role at Arrowroot he specializes in all aspects of deal sourcing, capital structuring, business plan development and is a key member of Arrowroot Real Estate Fund’s investment committee. Adam Barzilay is also a Principal at ARB Investments, a California based private equity group focused on real estate, bridge lending and seed investment opportunities.

Previously, Mr. Barzilay was a Partner with MJW Investments for over 5 years and spearheaded the expansion of the company's student housing portfolio from a few hundred beds to over 5,000, ranking the firm among the top 25 largest owners of student housing in the country. He also played a key role in the management and operations of MJW's real estate investments.  

Before joining MJW Investments, Mr. Barzilay was a Senior Vice President at Toll Brothers Inc. and was responsible for the project management, sales and construction for both the San Diego and Los Angeles Home Building Divisions. Mr. Barzilay sourced and led due diligence on over $150 million in new land investments throughout Southern California. Before moving to the Los Angeles area, Mr. Barzilay held a variety of management positions at Toll Brothers City Living Division.

Mr. Barzilay started his career as a Financial Analyst in Credit Suisse's Real Estate Fixed Income Division. He holds a MDes in Real Estate Development from Harvard University and a MCP and BA in City Planning and Urban Studies from the University of Pennsylvania.
