Daniel Cunningham serves as the head of East Coast Originations for PNC Real Estate’s Multifamily division, overseeing all Agency (Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac) production for owners from Maine to Florida. He began with PNC in 2012 and is located in its Washington, DC office.
Daniel joined PNC from The Union Labor Life Insurance Company (ULLICO) where he spent nearly four years as Vice President / Fund Manager for construction and permanent commercial real estate debt for more than $3 Billion of pooled Separate Accounts. Prior to joining ULLICO in 2008, he spent the prior eleven years in Agency finance, with four years as Head of Affordable Housing for Wachovia (now Wells Fargo), and seven years as the National Director of Multifamily Affordable Housing for Fannie Mae. Previously, he worked at national banks and also spent the period 1995-1997 at ULLICO.
He began his career in the public and not-for-profit sectors, working for the City of Baltimore and a local economic development program, respectively.
He is active in the Urban Land Institute as a member of the Urban Revitalization Council and serves as a member of the Harvard Alumni Real Estate Board.
Daniel is a graduate of Harvard University with an A.B. cum laude in Social Studies and holds an M.S. in Management from MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
