David Germakian is Senior Vice President of Development for EDENS.  He is the lead developer of several marquee projects across the company’s portfolio, including the major redevelopment of Closter Plaza in Bergen County, New Jersey and Uptown Park in Houston. Germakian is also an integral member of the South Bay development team, a 750,000 square foot mixed-use project in Boston, which will bring a diverse, vibrant community gathering place to the city’s historic Dorchester neighborhood.

Germakian first joined EDENS in 2007 as a Development Associate. During his tenure with EDENS, Germakian has played a critical role in overseeing the entitlement, design, leasing and construction of over $500 million in development and redevelopment activity.

Germakian is also co-chair of EDENS’ Intellect Committee, which focuses on attracting, connecting and inspiring the best and brightest minds in real estate.  As a part of that committee, David oversees the company’s annual intern class.

Before joining EDENS, Germakian spent four years as an officer in the US Navy. During this time he served as First Lieutenant on the USS PREBLE (DDG-88), a guided missile destroyer out of San Diego, California and completed two deployments to the Persian Gulf. He holds a MS in Systems Technology from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California and a BA in Biology from Harvard University.
