David Himmel is the Founder and Managing Partner of Kinwood Partners, a real estate investment and development company focused on mixed-use and mixed-income projects. He previously was a Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer at Jamestown, a global real estate investment management firm.

During his leadership from 2014 to 2024, Jamestown’s assets under management grew from $6 billion to $13 billion, with a portfolio spanning 25 million square feet of mixed-use office, residential, and retail. Jamestown is known for projects including Chelsea Market and Pier 57 in New York, Ponce City Market in Atlanta and the Innovation & Design Building in Boston.

 Mr. Himmel graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard Business School. He serves on the Harvard Alumni Real Estate Board and the Covenant House Real Estate Executive Committee, and in 2018 helped launch the West Side Community Fund. The Fund supports a more equitable West Side of Manhattan and has awarded more than 110 grants to 70 local organizations in education, workforce development, housing, the arts, and community health. In 2022, Mr. Himmel was selected as a David Rockefeller Fellow by the Partnership for New York City to advance public-private partnerships in real estate development.
