David Himmel is the Chief of Staff of Jamestown, a vertically integrated real estate operator with $11 billion of assets under management. Jamestown is recognized nationally for a variety of adaptive reuse developments, including Chelsea Market in New York, Industry City in Brooklyn, Ghirardelli Square in San Francisco, and Ponce City Market in Atlanta. With a mix of core and opportunistic funds, Jamestown is known for its creative leadership in developing distinctive urban communities.
David joined Jamestown in 2014 as an Associate in Development. Previously, David worked at the $8 billion real estate developer Forest City Ratner Companies; while there, he focused on such projects as The Barclays Center and New York by Gehry, a luxury residential tower at 8 Spruce Street.
David graduated from Harvard Business School in 2014 and with a B.S. in Urban Studies from the University of Pennsylvania in 2010. As a student at HBS, he co-founded the Brattle Park Group, a real estate investment company focused on mobile home parks in the southeastern US. He serves as Chair of the HBS Young Alumni Real Estate Club, which he co-founded in 2014.
