Matt Ciccotti is a Vice President at LIVWRK, a Brooklyn-based real estate company focused on mixed-use urban development. Founded in 2013, the firm currently has over 3 million square feet under development and over $1 billion in capital committed and/or invested. LIVWRK's first acquisition is known as Dumbo Heights, a 1.3M square foot, six-building warehouse complex located in DUMBO, Brooklyn that is in the midst of a rebirth as an unrivaled creative work campus and retail destination. Also under development is the Austin Nichols House, a former manufacturing plant and, later, Wild Turkey whiskey distillery, that LIVWRK is currently converting into a premier waterfront condominium building with 338 homes.
Matt joined LIVWRK in 2014 and is primarily responsible for evaluating new development opportunities and coordinating capital markets activity. He is also engaged in the development process for all of the firm's current projects.
After studying real estate finance and urban planning at the University of Pennsylvania, Matt began his career as a commercial real estate appraiser at the NYC-based Leitner Group, Incorporated. In his time at LGI, Matt valued over $3 billion in commercial real estate, including land, residential, retail, office, and mixed-use property ranging widely in value from $1 million to $1 billion.
Before joining LIVWRK, Matt received an advanced degree in urban design, real estate finance and development from Harvard University, where he studied at the schools of business, law, design and government. Upon graduating, Matt was awarded the Ferdinand Colloredo-Mansfeld Prize for Superior Achievement in Real Estate Studies at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design.
